Bird's Eye Rhyolite Rough
Unlike most orbicular rhyolite, this Bird's Eye Rhyolite is nice, solid material that doesn't have vugs. It has a fine, tight orbicular pattern and pleasant color contrast. It produces great slabs as well as interesting cabochons. Bird's Eye Rhyolite is highly silicified and polishes best with diamond, tin oxide or cerium oxide. Approximate Mohs hardness 6.5 to 7.0.
