Natural Chalcosiderite Cutting Rough
Chalcosiderite is often confused with turquoise or variscite, but it is a fine gem material in its own right. Chalcosiderite is in the turquoise mineral family, but contains iron. This chalcosiderite is natural and untreated in any way. Chalcosiderite cuts easily and takes a good polish with diamond or tin oxide, followed by green rouge (Zam is a brand name for green rouge). Mohs hardness 4.
