Spectrolite (Labradorite) Feldspar Cutting Rough
Finnish Spectrolite is the finest labradorite available. The dark background makes the flashing colors of labradorescence really stand out. Spectrolite is now difficult to obtain, but we bought this material decades ago. All labradorites are plagioclase feldspars which cut easily and polish with tin oxide and diamond. Mohs Hardness 6 to 6.5.
