This rare material is also called Golden Leaf and incorrectly referred to as Fire Jade. Golden Amphibolite is definitely not a jade. However, it is a fabulous material that cuts "to die for" stones. Unlike tiger eye, which displays chatoyance, Golden Amphibolite displays a shimmering spangled effect that is equal or better to the best bronzite. Mohs hardness is approximately 6.

Polishes well with tin oxide, aluminum oxide and diamond.
