Angelite (Anhydrite) Rough
Angelite is the trade name for a variety of Anhydrite. It is semi-transparent and light blue in color. It takes a nice polish with tin oxide, or diamond. Because Angelite is soft, the final rounding of cabochons is done in the polishing stage. Mohs hardness 3 to 3.5.
